La Défense Arena
Paris La Défense Arena, formerly known as the U Arena or Arena 92, is a multi-purpose domed stadium located in Nanterre, a western Paris suburb. The stadium which opened in October 2017, was founded by rugby union club Racing 92 as their new home field, replacing Stade Olympique Yves-du-Manoir. The venue is famous for its huge capacity, with up to 40,000 seats available for concerts and 30,000 seats available for sports. Its huge capacity has earned it the recognition of being Europe’s largest indoor arena.
Throughout the year, events are held constantly, and in 2023, the stadium will hold concerts including big names such as Shawn Mendes, Stromae, Pink, Maroon 5, and many others. Paris La Défense Arena will also host swimming competitions at the Summer Olympics in 2024.
Bag policy at La Défense Arena
First and foremost, it is vital to note that backpacks, sports bags, motorbike helmets, and other large items are not advisable to be brought into the arena. Additionally, it is prohibited to carry more than 20 litres of luggage into the area. Unfortunately, bags larger than 50L are also not permitted in lockers, and suitcases are not allowed inside the stadium at all.
So, what can you do if you have a lot of personal belongings that you don’t want to leave behind?

LuggageHero in the press
-
"LuggageHero, which offers online booking with a credit card — thus, eliminating the need for users to have local currency on hand — is one of the most recent players to expand its services. In December the company began operating in New York, where today it has some 250 locations."
-
"One solution is LuggageHero, which was already on the scene in Copenhagen and London, and has now expanded into New York. Its selling point is that it lets you store your luggage in a local shop, café or hotel, which is often more convenient than having to go to a storage facility at a train station."
-
"LuggageHero, which Jannik Lawaetz founded in 2016, currently has more than 300 storage locations in six cities (New York, London, Copenhagen, Lisbon, Madrid and Barcelona) and plans to expand to 39 cities by January 2020."

"LuggageHero founder and chief executive Jannik Lawaetz says that the concept was inspired by that mother of invention — necessity — and Airbnb. A couple of years ago, he and his girlfriend rented an apartment in Barcelona via the home-share service. They had a later flight on their day of departure and wanted to continue exploring the city, but didn't want to lug their suitcases around. "
